A recruitment drive for the League of Friends of Ramsey Cottage Hospital is taking place this weekend, with the hope of adding to its rostor of 150 life members and raising its profile in the community.
The organisation raises funds for the northern medical facility, to provide equipment which the the health department can't fund.
The League of Friends is also looking to get more volunteers signed up.
Chairman Leonard Singer says the money raised doesn't just benefit people in the north of the Island.
Tomorrow members will be at the entrance to the Shoprite store in Ramsey looking to sign up new members and volunteers.
