by isleofman.com 17th June 2010

POP star Belinda Carlisle has told her fans worldwide she is looking forward to coming back to the Isle of Man.

Known for songs such as Heaven Is A Place on Earth and Circle in the Sand, the singer will be performing at part of the 80s show at the Manx Telecom Bay Festival on Sunday night.

The festival begins tomorrow night in Noble's Park.

In a brief post on her official Facebook page Belinda said: 'Back from Delhi, it was way too short of a trip, on my way to London and very excited about the Isle of Man festival on Sunday the 20th.'

She will be appearing alongside other 80s hitmakers such as Boy George, Rick Astley and Kim Wilde.

Belinda last performed in the Island at the Bowl, Douglas, in 2002. A number of other 80s performers were also on that bill too.
