Cav pulls out of Tour of Switzerland

by isleofman.com 17th June 2010

CYCLING ace Mark Cavendish has pulled out of the tour of Switzerland.

Cav caused a big crash just before the finish line during stage four two days ago.

Yesterday some of  his rivals expressed their anger at what happened by staging a protest.

Cav and German Heinrich Haussler had collided close to the finish in Wettingen, causing a dozen riders to fall. The Manxman was given a time penalty and docked 25 points.

He was injured himself in the crash and still raced in the fifth stage but pulled out before the start of stage six which took place today.
