Rodan meets his UK counterpart

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan says meeting his opposite number in the United Kingdom was an enjoyable experience, and could bring the Isle of Man a welcome friend in Westminster.

Last week he visited Speaker of the House of Commons John Bercow, who has been in office for a little over a year.

Mr Rodan says he hopes the conservative MP for Buckingham will visit the Island soon, possibly on a future Tynwald Day.

He says Mr Bercow was very interested in the House of Keys and Tynwald:
