?200 worth of damage caused at cemetery

POLICE are investigating after grids covering the pond in the remembrance garden at Douglas Borough Cemetery and Crematorium were damaged and removed.

 

The offence happened at the Glencrutchery Road site between 4pm yesterday and 8am today and ?200 worth of damage was caused.

 

Once the grids had been removed this allowed access to the pond and subsequently the plugs were removed which allowed the water to drain away. This has resulted in the destruction of a large amount of frogs spawn.
