A visiting biker who died at the Mountain Box last week suffered massive head injuries, an inquest has heard.

Evidence showed 29-year-old Matthew Alexander Evans from Shrewsbury was on his first visit to the Isle of Man, when he was involved in the accident last Friday, June 4.

His body was discovered early in the morning, some distance from the mountain road.

Coroner of Inquests Alastair Montgomerie said a post mortem had established the cause of death was massive cranio-cerebral trauma.

The inquest was adjourned to a future date.

Mr Montgomerie expressed his sympathy to Mr Evan's family, especially his eleven-year-old daughter.
