Stage set for 'green' TT

by isleofman.com 9th June 2010

Electric powered motorbikes return to the mountain circuit today, in TT Zero.

Last year's inaugural clean emissions event, the TTXGP, proved to be a huge success, and this afternoon riders will be aiming for the first 100mph lap.

The MotoCzysz team is hotly tipped for the honour, with a ?10,000 prize from the Manx government up for grabs.

TT Zero competitor James McBride, who will be on the Manx entry ManTTx, says it's very similar to riding a petrol engined machine (play audio file):

TT Zero is due to start at 4.30pm, and will be contested over a single lap of the mountain course.
