'Secure your property' warning from police

by isleofman.com 8th June 2010

Police are urging witnesses to come forward after a burglary at a house in Douglas at the weekend.

Thieves broke in through a first floor window at the back of the property on Woodbourne Road, between Alexander Drive and Berkeley Street.

The burglars are thought to have carried out the theft between 11pm on Sunday and 1.30am on Monday, and made off with a quantity of cash.

Police say anybody who saw anyone acting suspiciously or knows anything about the break-in can contact them on 631212 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Householders are being reminded to secure their properties, even when they are at home.
