Crowe joined by new faces in bid for LegCo seat

by isleofman.com 7th June 2010

Three candidates will contest the vacant seat on the Legislative Council later this month.

Retired member Alan Crowe has again put his name forward, and he has been joined in the race by two new faces.

Barbara Brereton is the vice-chairman of Malew Commissioners and a member of the Education Council, which replaced the Board of Education about a year ago.

Tony Wild is the former Island director and head of international banking at Lloyds Offshore.

The election will be on June 21, when members of the House of Keys will be hoping to bring matters to a swift conclusion, after six rounds of voting last month failed to produce a result.
