by isleofman.com 7th June 2010

There's some good news for people who think youngsters in Douglas don't have enough to do.

The Borough Council plans to spend a total of ?280,000 upgrading play areas and leisure facilities in four locations.

Willaston play area is having a facelift with better drainage and new equipment while Ballaughton Park will have ?55,000 spent on it.

Noble's Park will get a new football and basketball area and Noble's plot will get a new play area thanks to a local developer.

Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee Stephen Pitts is confident the improvements will go ahead, although there is still some work to do:
