Encouraging signs for a successful TT

Visitor numbers during TT practice week look to be up on last year.

Businesses around the Island have been doing good trade, and long-time TT observers say larger crowds than normal watched the practice sessions during the past week.

TV coverage by North One last year was widely acclaimed and the 2010 shows will be screened nightly until Friday.

Political member at the Department of Economic Development Geoff Corkish says there are no official figures yet, but there's a general feeling the TT has been busier than normal:
