by isleofman.com 5th June 2010

Work is getting under way in earnest today (Saturday) on preparing Noble's Park for the Manx Telecom Bay Festival.

The giant tent in which the concerts will be staged has arrived on the Island on five huge trailers, and 200 workers will be involved in the week-long task of putting it up.

The operation will be undertaken in two phases, namely the assembly of the structure, followed by rigging with lighting, sound and camera systems.

Festival organiser Jamie Irving says everybody can watch the tent going up via a webcam (play audio file):

The Manx Telecom Bay Festival will run for three days from Friday, June 18.
