The Isle of Man's beaches were criticised in a recent survey, but the chairman of the Water Authority says things are getting better.
MHK Tim Crookall has spoke out after the Marine Conservation Society found just one beach was suitable for bathing and others fell below minimum legal standards for water quality.
Mr Crookall says the society's report doesn't make good reading for the Island, but the IRIS sewage system project means standards are improving.
