Ayre lift Gold Cup

by isleofman.com 28th May 2010

Ayre United won last night's Paul Henry Gold Cup Final at The Bowl.

The northerners beat Pulrose 3-2 on penalties after both normal and extra-time ended level at 1-1.

The match was played in heavy rain at times.

Ayre took the lead through Steven Parish but an own goal made matters all-square.

The result means Ayre have some silverware to go alongside their promotion to the top flight.

Douglas Royal won both Division Two and the Woods Cup.
