Fifth person bailed in proxy vote inquiry

A 54-year-old man arrested in connection with the Douglas East proxy vote investigation has been released on bail.

He had been questioned for most of yesterday (Wednesday), and will return to Police Headquarters at a later date.

He was the fifth person to be arrested in the inquiry after two men and two women were questioned and bailed on Tuesday.

Police aren't releasing any more information about the ongoing investigation.
