Firemen help gallery prepare for TT exhibition

by isleofman.com 27th May 2010

Fire officers in Laxey performed an unusual task involving a motorcycle on Tuesday evening.

They helped move a replica of a 1950's Gilera 500cc Grand Prix bike into position for a TT exhibition at the Hodgson Loom Gallery in the village.

The officers were called in to add a bit of muscle to the operation as the gallery is located on the first floor of the building.

Owner Rupert Murden says the machine is very special (play audio file):

The bike and hundreds of TT photos will be on display from Saturday in a free exhibition which will run throughout the festival period.
