by isleofman.com 24th May 2010

The TT is to be filmed as never before this year and the end result, a feature film called TT3D, promises to be truly eye-popping!

The director and crew of the project have been on an intense recce of the Island over the past week.

They are now preparing to film every aspect of the fortnight-long festival to create what will be a feature film documentary, due to hit cinemas next spring.

The movie will follow the fortunes of all involved, including the top racers, privateers, officials, marshals and fans.

It will also reflect the TT's long history and explore what makes a road racer on the mountain circuit tick!

Director Richard de Aragues is a big fan of road racing and has a track record of filming commercial motorsport.

On Mandate today (Monday), he told Marian Kenny when he was invited to direct the film his answer was an emphatic 'yes!':
