Thieves steal lobsters worth ?2,500

LOBSTERS valued at ?2,500 have been stolen from storage cages moored off Peel breakwater.

Five storage cages have been emptied of their contents and an estimated 450 lobsters stolen.

Police are appealing for witnesses and believe the lobsters were stolen in the early hours of the morning. The exact date of the thefts is unknown.

Police say a reward may be payable as a result of witness information.



•  In another incident, police are seeking information about criminal damage to a bench at Port Jack in Onchan.

The bench was taken from outside a business premises and thrown over the Port Jack cliffs some time between Thursday and Friday last week (May 20th-21st).
