It's the best weather of the year so far!

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2010
THE best weekend’s weather of the year is the queue for beaches, barbecues and chilling.

This weekend has started with fabulous weather and the highest temperatures of the year, officially recorded at 24C but possibly much higher inland.

Amazingly, only just over a week ago it snowed on high ground and hail storms hit most of the Island. What a wonderful (and unpredictable) Island we have! But is there a better place on earth?

And how wonderful that the sun shone so brightly on Terry Cringle's memorable day on Douglas beach . . .

The forecast for Sunday is pretty much the same - the temperature “high” is predicted at 23C but with the chance of some mist on the coasts in the early parts of the day.

It’s perfect conditions for basking sharks - the best vantage points are The Sound, Port Erin, Niarbyl, Peel and most of the west and south-west coastline.

Send in your best pictures of the weekend to isleofman.com and we’ll publish the best and credit you for your images.
