Sidecar 'push' to boost marshal numbers

by isleofman.com 22nd May 2010

A 'big push' to find the small army of marshals needed for the TT is getting under way today.

Teams working in relay will push a sidecar outfit 14 miles over the mountain section of the course, from Ramsey to Douglas.

Sidecar race sponsor Sure Mobile has organised the event, which is being launched from its Ramsey store by five-times sidecar TT winner Nicky Crowe.

The outfit will be pushed in seven two-mile legs ending up in Strand Street.

Chairman of the TT Marshals' Association Terry Holmes says it will be quite a spectacle (play audio file):

Volunteers willing to work as marshals can sign up at either of Sure Mobile's high street stores in the Island.
