Police have 'realistic' road safety goals

It's a case of the slogan remains the same for this year's TT road safety campaign - 'Stay Alert, Stay Alive'.

Posters showing real accidents from previous years are being used to drive the message home.

Head of the Roads Policing Unit Inspector Mark Britton says the force is realistic in its aims as far as TT road safety is concerned (play audio file):

Meanwhile, the Mountain Road will again be one-way for the duration of TT fortnight, following the success of the arrangement in recent years.
