Police witness appeal

DOUGLAS Police are appealing for information following a report of a disturbance on Ballaquayle Road, Douglas, on Sunday 2nd May 2010 at approximately 2030hrs.

 

It is believed that a large number of people have witnessed an incident between two adult males in the area of the bus-shelter opposite St Ninians High School. It is believed that these persons all disembarked from a bus at this location. At the time there were a number of vehicles in the area, some of which had to take avoiding action not to drive into the group. PC121 HAND is appealing for witnesses to come forward who may be able to assist in this matter.

 

“One 26 year old male has been arrested following this incident. However, I am keen to identify other persons involved, in particular anyone who has witnessed the event. Unruly behaviour such as this will not be accepted in our community and I urge you to assist your local Police.”

Information is also requested regarding an act of criminal damage where a motorbike has been knocked over on Kingswood Grove in Douglas. The damage occurred over night between the 25th and 26th of April 2010 . The motorbike has sustained damage to a wing mirror, rear lights and to the bodywork.
