Government staffing criticisms defended

Claims of over-management within the Department of Health are being dismissed by one of its senior officials.

Director of health strategy and performance Norman McGregor-Edwards says he's satisfied the right balance has been struck between administrators and front-line staff.

In Tynwald, and on Manx Radio's Talking Heads programme recently, it was said the department had too many managers at Noble's Hospital and Crookall House.

But Mr McGregor-Edwards says such suggestions are wide of the mark:
