More land available for Summerland site development

The House of Keys has been told the tendering process for the former Summerland site is still on course to start before the end of the month, as planned.

Community, Culture and Leisure Minister David Cretney also revealed potential developers would be given the option of including the MER depot in their plans, as long as they offered a replacement facility as part of the scheme.

With two months set aside for bids, it looks like it will be the end of June or early July before a decision is taken on the future of the site, and Mr Cretney told members he understood any frustrations over how slowly things were moving:
