Trouble at beauty spot won't be tolerated

Police are warning anti-social louts they can expect a robust response if they misbehave at a popular campsite.

New bye-laws give the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture and the police more powers to deal with problems at Sulby Claddagh.

Gangs of drunken youths had been causing trouble at the site, which led to a wide review of its future.

Inspector Derek Flint of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team says this year there will be a be a strong police response to any incidents:
