Manxies prepare for London Marathon

by isleofman.com 25th April 2010

Months of training behind them - now only 26 miles to run!

Fifty-one Manx athletes are preparing to line-up for the start of this year's Virgin London Marathon, which starts at 9.45am this morning (Sunday).

Some are first-timers taking on the challenge of a lifetime - others have taken part before and are hoping to improve their time. Many are running for local charities.

Murray Lambden runs the manxathletics.com website.

He says more runners are enticed each year by the sheer spectacle of the event.
