There's less hassle in future for youngsters wanting an Isle of Man Proof of Age card.
Many Island traders insist on seeing the 18 + card before selling goods like tobacco, petrol and alcohol to youngsters.
Until now they've had to apply in person for the card at the Office of Fair Trading in Douglas during weekday office hours.
But from May 1, the OFT says it will accept counter-signed photographs of the applicant and their birth certificate by post.
It's hoped the change will encourage more youngsters to obtain a card.
The OFT's Margaret Crellin says security remains the priority.
