by isleofman.com 24th April 2010

Ramsey are still in the hunt for promotion from South Lancashire/Cheshire Division Three following a 23-6 win over Prenton which saw Holmes Chapel confirmed as champions.

A Lance Wyllie try in the fifth minute put Ramsey in front early on.

Adam Yates doubled the lead to 10-0 with a try right on the stroke of half-time.

Midway through the second half Tynan Pritchard added a third try for Ramsey who stretched their lead to 17-0 following Fintan Cummins’ conversion.

Daryl Parker kicked two penalties late in the game to bring Prenton right back into it but Cummins added two for Ramsey in second half stoppage time to close the game out.

Ramsey must now win their last game away at Ellesmere Port to secure promotion.
