by isleofman.com 24th April 2010

Anybody who has ever wondered what the inside of their bowel looks like has a chance to find out today (Saturday).

A walk-through giant inflatable colon is on display at the Strand Shopping Centre in Douglas to raise awareness about bowel cancer.

Mayor of Douglas Michael Gelling is performing the official opening at 10am on the mezzanine level.

Health professionals and trained counsellors will be on hand to help with any queries.

Heather Norman from Bowel Cancer Isle of Man says it's important to ask questions (play audio file):

The giant colon will be on display at the same venue tomorrow.
