Students choose Island for energy survey

Thirty students from Exeter are on the Isle of Man to find out whether it could lead the world in renewable energy.

They are due in Strand Street, Douglas at lunchtime to conduct research about alternative energy sources as part of their university courses.

Initially, their plan was to carry out the survey in Greece, but the volcanic ash cloud put paid to their flights and led to a last-minute change of destination.

Carol Warwick-Evans says the location may be different but the survey is the same:
