Driver damages church wall

by isleofman.com 22nd April 2010

Police are looking for a motorist who demolished part of a wall at Abbey Church in Ballasalla.

The incident happened yesterday afternoon sometime between 12.30 and 2.30pm.

It's believed a vehicle has reversed into the gate post of the church damaging both the gate and bringing down part of the wall.

The damage was found by the Reverend Michael Roberts when he arrived to open the church for a Mums and tots group.

Officers say they can't believe the person who caused the damage didn't at least leave a note in the church.

Anyone who witnessed it is asked to contact Castletown Police Station on 832 222
