Government considers office in Belgium

Does the Isle of Man need to sell itself better in Europe, and would an office in the heart of the EU help?

Speaker of the House of Keys Steve Rodan thinks so and has called for an office to be opened up in Brussels.

In Tynwald he asked Chief Minister Tony Brown about the possibility, and was heartened to hear the government is considering such a move.

Mr Rodan says the Island already has some allies in Europe, but a presence in the Belgian capital would allow it to strengthen ties and make new friends:
