Brown answers question on health negotiations

by isleofman.com 20th April 2010

The chief minister has told Tynwald it is the policy of the Council of Ministers to obtain 'an extensive health care reciprocal agreement for the people of the Isle of Man'.

Tony Brown made the statement in his reply to a question from Michael MHK David Cannan.

Mr Cannan wanted to know CoMin's policy with regard to negotiating a new deal, and who would be leading the Manx delegation in the forthcoming talks.

This is part of what Mr Brown had to say (play audio file):

The agreement between the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom was due to expire at the end of last month, but has been extended for six months.
