Airline boss optimistic despite disruptions

Airlines serving the Isle of Man have been left counting the cost of almost a week of disruption caused by the volcanic ash cloud over Europe.

The five days of cancellations are thought to have hit many firms in the industry hard.

This morning (Tuesday), parts of the United Kingdom's airspace are reopening, allowing flights to destinations north of Blackpool.

Chairman of local airline Manx2.com Noel Hayes says the disruption has had a huge impact on passengers and airlines, but he is optimistic about the future:
