Charity for elderly could 'adopt new brand'

Age Concern in the Isle of Man could benefit from the support of a newly formed charity in the United Kingdom.

Age Concern and Help the Aged have merged to form Age UK, now one of the biggest charitable organisations for elderly people in Europe.

In the past, Age Concern Isle of Man hasn't had any funding from the larger charity in the UK, but it is considering adopting the new brand and becoming Age Isle of Man.

Chief executive Penny Creighton says that would only happen if it was felt it would be to its advantage, and such a decision wouldn't be made lightly:
