As the United Kingdom election polls show the gap narrowing between the Liberal Democrats, Labour and the Conservatives, a political activist from the Isle of Man is preparing to head for a key Labour marginal seat to help the party's campaign.
Broadcaster, environmentalist and committed Labour supporter ffinlo Costain will join an army of party workers in North Dudley in the west Midlands, in the week before the UK goes to the polls, on May 6.
Mr Costain contested a seat for Labour in the 2005 election, and understands the workings of the party 'machine' at general election time.
He says he feels compelled to throw his weight behind the Labour agenda, despite living in the Isle of Man:
