Delegates to the Campaign for Real Ale's annual general meeting enjoyed the perfect Manx weather on the first day of their gathering, although there were a few problems, caused by Icelandic ash.
Over 900 members of the organisation were expected to visit the Isle of Man for the weekend event, which is being staged at the Villa Marina.
Some of the ale-aficiandos experienced difficulties getting to the Island, but CAMRA chief executive Mike Benner says they are not letting it get them down and have been out enjoying themselves:
