Last chance to enter memorial walk

by isleofman.com 16th April 2010

Entries close today (Friday) for the annual Sara Killey Memorial Walk, organised by the Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service.

The event, now in its fourth year, follows the course of the Parish Walk from Peel town hall to Ramsey, and last year over 150 people took part.

It was established in memory of Sara, a former member of the service's staff, who died in 2007.

All proceeds go to the Fire Fighters Charity.

Chief Fire Officer Brian Draper says recent events in the United Kingdom have given a timely reminder of how important it is to keep raising funds (play audio file):

The 2010 Sara Killey Memorial Walk is on Sunday, April 25, starting at the fire station in Peel at 8.30am.
