Aerobatic display team withdraws from Island shows

by isleofman.com 15th April 2010

The Royal Air Force has confirmed the Red Arrows will not be performing at TT2010.

It follows a collision between two of the team's Hawk aircraft, during pre-season training in Crete at the end of last month.

Flight Lieutenant Mike Ling had to eject from his pilot seat and suffered a dislocated shoulder and other minor injuries.

The aerobatic team is having to train a new member in order to maintain its nine jet formation and has withdrawn from several shows, including displays over Ramsey and Douglas bays on Tuesday, June 8.
