Motorcycle racing club fundraiser set up

Sponsors have come up with a novel way to help secure the future of racing on the Billown circuit.

A fundraising initiative for the Southern 100 Club has been launched by Blackford Financial Services.

The '100 Club' is looking for 100 members to stump up ?5 a month, with the target of raising ?3,000 a year for general funds.

The other ?3,000 which could potentially be raised would be dished out in prize money among club members.
