Disappointed guests wouldn't talk about problems

The owner of a Douglas seafront hotel which has been severely criticised by a party which cut short its stay there, says she wasn't given a chance to put things right.

A group of around 70 members of the Royal Antediluvean Order of Buffaloes from the United Kingdom walked out of the Trevelyan, 36 hours into a five-day stay, after experiencing difficulties with the electricity supply, heating and hot water.

Delia McGuire admits there were problems with the electricity which hadn't arisen before, and is very sorry for the inconvenience caused.

However, she says she wasn't given a chance to try and sort things out:
