There's good news for green-fingered Douglas residents, with work to create allotments on the outskirts of the capital nearing completion.
The land at Johnny Watterson's Lane is in the final stages of preparation, and ratepayers will soon be able to apply for plots.
Chairman of the Leisure Services Committee Stephen Pitts says the process of deciding who can and can't have an allotment will get under way soon, and it won't be long before the site is up and running:
