Island residents weigh up UK voting options

by isleofman.com 13th April 2010

There's advice today for people in the Isle of Man who are entitled to vote in next month's general election in the United Kingdom.

Residents of the Island can exercise their democratic right in the UK for up to 15 years after leaving the adjacent isle.

People who have been here for a considerable time may have limited connections with the UK, but for others the interest will still be strong.

Managing Director at Pannell Kerr Forster in the Island Phillip Dearden says those in the latter category will need to give the matter some thought (play audio file):

The general election in the United Kingdom will be on May 6, 2010.
