MHK angry over state of pavements

An elderly Ballasalla man needed seven stitches to his face after tripping on an uneven pavement at the weekend.

Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen says the 86-year-old lost his footing on the Silverdale Road and suffered a very deep cut, which required treatment at Noble's Hospital.

Mr Cregeen says he first brought the state of the pavements to the attention of the then Department of Transport two years ago.

He says there was no shortage of money at the time, and he is very disappointed nothing has been done:
