Ubuntu sticks with Google

by isleofman.com 13th April 2010

Manx-based Canonical Software has announced it won't be partnering with search engine Yahoo after all.

The company had said it would include Yahoo as the default search engine in the next version of its Ubuntu Linux operating system for PCs.

But Canonical now says it will stick with Google in Ubuntu 10.04, codenamed Lucid Lynx.

A spokesman said keeping Google would mean people having one less thing to change when they upgraded.
