A 51-year-old Douglas man is due in court today (Tuesday), charged with rape.
He was arrested following an alleged incident on Douglas beach, in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police are acknowledging the response to a request for information, and are asking anybody else who could help the investigation to come forward.
