by isleofman.com 10th April 2010

A popular children’s play area is to get a much-needed facelift, thanks to a local developer.

Douglas Council is celebrating after a company which is developing flats near the Westmoreland Road play area opposite the Family Library donated ?30,000 for new equipment.

The cash will be used to spruce up the playground which is popular with local children and parents.

Councillor Stephen Pitts says it’s a well-used play area and the improvements will be carried out soon.
