Higher bus fares still good value - minister

'No TT or tourism, but still plenty of challenges'.

That's the assessment by new Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure David Cretney of the role he took on last week, in the big government reorganisation.

Mr Cretney has plenty of previous experience in similar areas of responsibility, as a minister at the former Department of Tourism and Leisure.

The DTL ran the Island's buses, and one of the first things he has done at the DCCL is defend the cost of public transport in the Isle of Man, including the recent increase in fares:
