Circuit could be repaired for Jurby event

It looks as if a pre-TT road race meeting in the north of the Island could go ahead, after all.

The annual Jurby South National Road Races were cancelled after the Auto Cycle Union revoked the licence to hold the event, because of numerous pot-holes on the circuit.

The organising Andreas Racing Club apparently doesn't believe the newly formed Department of Infrastructure could carry out repair work quickly enough for the event to be staged.

However, Infrastructure Minister Phil Gawne says that's not the case:
