The Isle of Man Government's new Minister for Infrastructure, Phil Gawne MHK (formerly Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry) has formally welcomed new members Graham Cregeen MHK and Tim Crookall MHK.
Mr Crookall and Mr Cregeen join members for the previous Department of Transport (DoT), David Quirk MHK and David Callister MLC.
Mr Cregeen will preside over the expanded Works Division, which will deliver the ‘works’ functions of the old DoT and DoLGE (Department of Local Government and the Environment).
After a brief time away from the Department, Mr Crookall returns as member for Properties, which is again expanded to include the old DoLGE Estates and DoT Properties functions.
Mr Crookall previously held the position of Member for Highways for the Department of Transport from 2006 – 2009.
Mr Quirk will be taking up the position of Member for Planning and Building Control and Chairman of the Planning Committee and Mr Callister will continue as Member with responsibility for Harbours.
Mr Gawne (pictured) said, "I am delighted to be able to welcome the new political team to my new Department.
"The political members are keen to familiarise themselves with their new roles and indeed to work with the officers to make the new Department of Infrastructure work efficiently and effectively for the people of the Isle of Man.
"I have worked well with Messrs Cregeen, Callister and Quirk in DAFF and look forward to building up a good working relationship with Mr Crookall.
"Apart from my overarching role as Minister for Infrastructure, I will specifically be acting as Member for Airport and Highways Divisions.
"I am looking forward to the new challenges that lay ahead and to working together with all of the Members and staff in the new Department."
